What Are You Thankful For?

Updated: Nov 26, 2021

The older I get the faster time goes. I remember being a kid and waiting for the bell to ring to finally be released. Those moments seemed to last an eternity. But now a trip to the dentist goes by in the blink of an eye.

"Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it." - Ferris Bueller

So as I have gotten older I try to take the time and appreciate what I have. With Thanksgiving around the corner I thought it was a perfect time to reflect and share some of the things I am thankful for.

My Family

They are my rock and the driving force behind what I do and why I do it. My fiancé keeps me centered and focused all the while pushing my to grow and move past my comfort zone. Our youngest is 4 months old and we are so blessed to have him. My two oldest children absolutely adore him and are always willing to help where they can, unless it comes to doing their homework, they tend to need a little extra motivation for that. I would not be where I am without the love and support of my family.

Personal Development

Over the past couple of years I have really made it a point to constantly learn and grow. Self-development has become a major priority in my life. One of the ways I have found to learn was to read. Growing up I hated the idea of reading. For me to sit down and open a book was the last thing I would do. But now I regret not having read more, because the more I re

ad and learn the more I realize I don't know. Some of the best books that have personally helped me are:

- "12 Rules for Life: An Antidote to Chaos" by Jordan B. Peterson

- "Man's Search for Meaning" by Viktor E. Frankl

- "Mastery" by Robert Greene

Time

Time is the one commodity that you can never get back. No matter how much money you have you can never buy back time. I am thankful for the time that I have and the ability I have to do what I love. My goal is to make the most of the time I have. To give the best of myself in whatever I am doing.

Stop and take a moment to reflect on what you are thankful for and live to your full potential!
